Older Brothers To Protect Your Teeth
A project by Columpio and Theo Firmo.
The project is based on a small drawing that works as a starting point for the dialogue between curator and artist. It is an active collaboration that has the communication processes as theme, hence, it comes out from the interchange of both parts. The initial work brings the vocabulary over which the project is based: communication, emotional cartography, relational roles.
“Older brothers to protect your teeth” are the words that are crossed out in the first drawing, and the suspended action of the installation takes place around deciphering them: it is a space for the study of the illogical. The work needs to be read, and as its content threatens us, it also invites to an analysis of its scheme and syntax.
